1. Can we provide cover for residents outside of the UK?

No. All policyholders must be residents of England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

2. How long is the European Cover?

We recognise that not everyone takes their motorhome to Europe, so European insurance and European breakdown cover are optional extras that can be added to the policy.

If European Insurance and European Breakdown Cover is taken out, you are then covered comprehensively to use your motorhome in Europe for up to 8 months within the policy year, including any breakdown.

3. Can I choose my excess?

The excess on our motorhome policy is flexible and can be set to a value between £100 and £1000. A higher excess can reduce the premium.

4. What is the difference between personal effects and equipment?

Our motorhome policy automatically covers £3000 of motorhome equipment. Equipment refers to "non fixed" items generally left in or around the motorhome such as gas bottles, television, generator, pots and pans etc. Please note we have an equipment single article limit of £500 and the maximum we will cover for equipment left outside the motorhome is £1,000. You do not need to include these items in your total sum to be insured. Audio or video equipment, security devices and navigation equipment that were supplied by your motorhome's manufacturer or which have subsequently been fitted by a specialist supplier and designed to be "permanently installed/fixed" should be reflected within your total sum to be insured.

Personal effects refer to items taken from home such as clothing, toiletries etc. We cannot insure these items under our motorhome insurance policy. Often you will find that these items are covered on your home contents insurance policy. High risk items such as cameras, laptops, mobile phones, pedal cycles and associated equipment are also not covered under our motorhome policy and should be insured on your home contents policy.

5. Would my premium decrease if I install a tracking device?

Tracking devices are by far the most effective security solution to beat the motorhome thieves. They can quickly guide police to the exact location of the stolen motorhome.

A significant 25% insurance discount is given if an approved tracking device is fitted and is active on your motorhome.
