No. We only insure static caravans, holiday lodges and chalets sited in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, The Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.
We offer new for old cover for holiday homes up to 15 years old.
New for old cover ensures that if your holiday home is damaged beyond economical repair, your holiday home, contents and personal effects will be replaced as new (of equivalent specification).
To ensure new for old cover applies, you must insure your holiday home and equipment at the value it would cost to replace with new (of equivalent specification).
Personal effects are items normally worn, used or carried outside your holiday home, such as clothing, and toiletries. Often these items are covered on your home contents insurance policy, and as such, there is no need to insure them a second time.
Contents are items which are not permanently installed and are intended for use in or about your holiday home (e.g. cutlery and crockery, garden ornaments, microwave, television etc).
Please note that we cannot cover "high risk" items such as cameras, laptops, mobile phones, pedal cycles and associated equipment. Please see page 6 & 7 of our policy booklet for a full list of items that are defined as "high risk". You should look to insure these items under your home contents insurance policy.
If you reside in your holiday home for the majority of the year (and do not have a separate household insurance policy) please contact us for details of the extended cover we can offer.
Legal Expenses Cover is an optional extra which can be added to your policy for just £10 including Insurance Premium Tax. Cover is provided by LawShield UK Limited. See page 28 of our policy booklet for full details.
Paying for your insurance couldn't be any easier, simply buy online or call us 7 days a week.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (except American Express). We do not make a charge for using a credit or debit card. Your card will be debited for the full amount immediately. The card must be in your name.
Alternatively, you can choose to pay by monthly Direct Debit via 12 equal monthly instalments. We use a company called Premium Credit Ltd to provide finance and a charge for credit will apply. Written quotations are available on request. Credit is available subject to status.
You can also pay by cheque, however, we are unable to start your cover until your cheque has been received at our office.
Between the 1st November and 15th March, when unoccupied, the water should be turned off at the mains and all equipment fully drained or the central heating system set at the manufacturers' recommended temperature to prevent frost damage. You would not be covered for the first £500 of any claim resulting from burst pipes, escape of water, flood, storm or tempest during this period unless the winter weather precautions are taken.
