5. Things to look out for... section 2

Personal Effects cover
These are items you remove from the home to take to your static caravan holiday home.

Some static caravan holiday home policies include this automatically, but it is important to check that you don’t already have cover for items removed from the home under your household policy. There’s no point in paying for this cover twice and therefore Leisuredays make such cover optional.

Public Liability
Often the site will insist on a certain level of public liability cover should you or your family and anyone you have lent the static caravan holiday home to cause any harm to anybody or damage to someone else’s possessions. £1m or £2m is usually the requirement. With Leisuredays, £2m public liability is automatically included.

A Specialist Policy backed by a well known and solvent Underwriter
It is vitally important to choose a policy from a specialist provider and underwritten by a leading insurance company. Leisuredays for instance is underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Plc. With a policy backed by a leading insurer who understands static caravan holiday homes, this can provide peace of mind if the worst happens and you need to claim.

All benefits are subject to terms and conditions, cover level and underwriting criteria
