2018 Victory Belmor static caravan

New for 2018, the Belmor offers spacious open plan living.

The Victory Belmor static caravan has been designed with practicality in mind.

Victory Belmor Ext Right Elev

Available in four models, we take a look at the 38ft x 12ft, two bedroomed Belmor. Designed with larger families in mind, there are also two caravans in the Belmor CL range, which have a centrally located lounges and twin and master bedrooms at either end of the unit.

Victory Belmor Ext Front Elev

From the outside the Belmor features aluminium coated wall panels in light cream, but Canexel cladding in a variety of colours are available as an optional extra. And both windows and guttering can be changed to compliment the cladding. In our review model, they were in uPVC white, and the windows were double-glazed.

Victory Belmor Sign

Our review model was mounted on a ‘Fusion’ galvanised steel chassis which is recommended for locations in estuaries or coastal areas with high salinity in the air.  External walls are insulated to a depth of 50mm and all exposed pipework is lagged against frost damage. The Belmor is built to EN 1647 (non-residential) Standards.

Victory Belmor Lounge Main

The main access door is offset on one side, however at the front end are a set of patio style doors to the right with a small ‘bay’ window to the left. There’s an outside light in a good position by the access door to help you find the keyhole at night.

We liked the idea of having a smaller, offset patio door at the front – it’s a bit different and allows for a smaller, wrap-around deck to be fitted, which is something those on a budget might have to consider.

Victory Belmor Lounge Through to Kitchen

Entering the Victory Belmor through the side access door, it’s a usual layout of lounge to the left, kitchen straight ahead and the access door to the bedrooms and bathrooms to your right.  The Belmor gives the impression of a large, open-plan space, accentuated by the high-pitched ceiling, light colour palette and bright, understated soft furnishings.

Floor coverings are well done; a rugged doormat to wipe your feel takes you onto the light grey fully fitted carpet of the lounge which then segues seamlessly into the vinyl tiled-effect kitchen and dining room flooring.

Victory Belmor Lounge Seating

The Victory Belmor lounge has a chunky, grey, wrap-around sofa with bags of room to comfortably seat up to six. We couldn’t see a pullout sofa bed in this, but there’s more than enough floor space for a put up folding bed for those extra visitors, so no big deal. You also get a coffee table and opposite the sofa is a fireplace with a flame effect electric fire and a shelf above for a flat panel television (TV points supplied). A couple of storage shelves and a cabinet with a smoked glass door complete this unit.

Victory Belmor Fireplace

Speaking of the fire, it’s worth mentioning that full central heating with a combi gas boiler is available as an optional extra on the Belmor range and would probably be well worth the investment if you were considering using the caravan throughout the year.

The kitchen is ‘L’ shaped with an array of floor and wall mounted cabinets in light Oak with a contrasting slate grey worktop. There’s a basic but effective stainless steel sink with mixer tap and a four burner cooker with oven and grill, which has a black glass splash back and vented cooker hood with light above. On our review model there was even an integrated microwave oven.

Victory Belmor Kitchen Main

Although basic, this kitchen has lots of storage space for utensils and food but we were a little surprised to see that a fridge/freezer was available only as an option.  We know the price of the Belmor range is keen, but even at over £32k, we think that maybe a fridge should be included in the standard spec?

Victory Belmor Cabinets & Microwave

Contained within the large kitchen area are a dining table and four stylish chairs with upholstered seats. This is free-standing which means it can be moved around to allow good access for mealtimes and pushed back out of the way when not in use.

Victory Belmor Dining Table & Chairs

A door from the kitchen leads, as usual, to the sleeping accommodation. It’s brightly lit and fully carpeted.

To the left is the family shower room which features a large shower cubicle with sliding glass door, wall-mounted thermostatically controlled shower and a plastic corner unit. There’s also a standard button flush toilet and a contemporary styled hand basin sitting atop a storage cupboard with open side shelves for towels.

Victory Belmor Shower & Toilet

The room, although fairly compact, is equipped with all you need on a holiday caravan of this type and is light and easy to keep clean with washable surfaces and a vinyl floor covering. There’s also an extractor fan included as standard.

Victory Belmor Handbasin

In the twin bedded room, there’s a walkway between the beds, which is not too cramped. There’s also a single central table, really tall, padded headboards in bright red and a single wall light. At the foot of the beds is a wardrobe with storage drawers under, a small shelf with mirror above, and a power socket.

Victory Belmor Twin Bedroom

Victory Belmor Twin Wardrobe

The master bedroom is across the back of the Belmor caravan, with a double bed offset to the right to make room for the en-suite. The bed has a padded headboard with a large open shelf above, bookended by two cupboards, with twin reading lights mounted below. The side tables have a storage shelf and the power sockets above incorporate USB chargers and switches for the lighting.

Victory Belmor Master Bedroom

At the foot of the bed in the corner is a vanity shelf with mirror above and another power socket while in the opposite corner, an angled door leads to a small en-suite with toilet and pedestal hand basin. The room also has a splendid combination of wardrobes and storage drawers – certainly enough space to fit in all of your holiday clothes.
