Willerby’s latest Waverley lodge offers year-round comfort so you can make the most of your investment
Willerby have never stopped upgrading and improving their holiday caravans and lodges, and just recently made inroads with their new park homes too.
This giant of the industry always knows it’s got to stay ahead not just in the UK but Europe too. So with a seemingly non-stop flow of new models and ranges, we look at the all-new Willerby Waverley lodge. The 40ft x14ft two bedroomed Waverley is built on a galvanised chassis and comes with aluminium cladding. Full double PVCu Thermaglass double glazing is also part of the deal, along with under canopy lighting.
Front patio doors are inset into the lodge and from here you walk straight into the main lounge area. Here, there’s a three-seater settee with a fold-out bed along with two free-standing chairs.
There’s a TV cabinet and electric fire, plus a radiator by the window. A footstool with lift-off seat reveals some useful space-saving storage and with the two free-standing armchairs the lounge feels very homely.
Now the kitchen combines an island section and also the dining area, which seats four.
There’s a large window too so you can see any views as you have your meal. The island section offers cupboard storage, two large shelves, plus worktop and two bar stools means it doubles up as a breakfast bar.We liked the low hanging lights over the dining area and the kitchen island.
The L-shaped kitchen will be a cook’s delight, with lots of worktop and storage, including overhead cupboards.
A separate fridge/freezer and cooker /double oven with extractor are all part of the specification, along with a built-in microwave.
The Waverley has a neat side corridor complete with hooks for coats and space for shoes, plus a seat, all helping to keep clutter from the main living area.
The first bedroom is on your right as you go through the Waverley holiday lodge. This offers twin beds and is a spacious bedroom, plus it also has a large side window allowing plenty of natural light to flood in.
Good night lighting is fitted plus a TV point, and for storage, there’s a decent sized wardrobe along with a shelf and top locker. It works well and if needed a double bed can be ordered instead of twin beds.
The family bathroom is opposite the twin bedroom, just before you walk into the master bedroom. It has a shower cubicle and large hand basin with storage below and mirrored cabinet above.
It’s a good size and has a large towel drying radiator and a few shelves for added storage too.
Step into the master bedroom and you’re greeted with plenty of space. Its ambience is modern and trendy hanging cage lighting illuminates each side of the double bed, which also has side drawers and a padded window seat with drawers underneath!
It’s all very plush and the wardrobes will take plenty of clothing and with all the drawers, storage in here is well taken care of.
The en-suite offers a shower and loo of course, plus a smart hand basin. It’s all very typical of Willerby’s high-end design skills and all fits perfectly together to make the Waverley a lodge to put at the top of buyers’ lists.
Verdict: Willerby’s design skills are well proven and the Waverley lodge is no exception. It’s comfy, homely and there’s plenty of space and storage. It’s a lodge that will prove comfortable to use all year round, and with their heritage, Willerby is a name that’s well known and trusted.
Plus points: Well-fitted out kitchen, good washrooms, comfortable lounge area.
Minus points: No dressing table in the master bedroom, little else
In a nutshell: A great new lodge from Willerby which should prove popular and is definitely one to look at if you’re after a lodge of this size. Comfortable and spacious that’s the Waverley way!
