Pemberton were once mass producers of static caravans from the mid-1950s to the late 1970’s. Beginning in 1946, the Rigby brothers at their Wigan factory established Pemberton and many holiday parks had a caravan on their land, with hundreds available to rent, as Pembertons were known for their durability and practicality.

The Pemberton Rivington has agreeable looks and a modern design on the outside, with its standard patio-style front doors. A fully galvanised chassis, full guttering and double glazing is standard too, plus Rivington buyers get several choices of exterior cladding.

Step inside through the front lounge, and the Pemberton Rivington’s décor shouts upmarket contemporary style. The grey, four-seater settee is comfortable, with a large armchair opposite, plus a TV cabinet offers and wall cupboard offers great storage or a place to display ornaments.

A wall mounted electric fire and a small, free standing coffee table completes the carpeted lounge.

Walk through to the kitchen area and you have a swanky breakfast bar with two bar stools and a wine rack for five. Plus the kitchen offers great worktop space in a marble finish, as well as excellent cupboard storage in off white and browns, finished with a pop of colour from the red splashback.

There’s a good selection of mains sockets and an integrated microwave, fridge/freezer and cooker with separate grill.

The dining area at the side of the kitchen, includes faux leather four chairs and a sturdy table in a dark wood finish. There’s a large side window which allows in plenty of natural light and a stylish, and practical, parquet-effect flooring.

The twin bedroom is opposite the bathroom and is spacious, with a decent-sized corner wardrobe and overhead cupboards. The off-white gloss and dark wood cabinetry continues into this room.

The main bathroom has a walk-in shower and free-standing toilet and hand basin, The same flooring from the kitchen and gloss finish cupboards complete the look here, and there’s a small radiator opposite the loo.

Go through to the master bedroom and the large side window allows plenty of natural light to flood in. There isn’t a lot of floor space here but there’s a large, double, walk-in wardrobe and the bedroom also has an en-suite

Over the headrest of the bed is a wood effect beam with LED down-lighters inset – a nice touch.

There’s a dressing table with a large mirror and bedside storage cupboards in that cream and dark wood finish.

The en-suite is simple in design and has both a bath and overhead shower. The Pemberton Rivington can be ordered with a shower only, if you don’t want the bath.

Verdict: The Pemberton Rivington is a great static caravan with smart décor and a comfortable lounge area. The kitchen won’t disappoint with plenty of storage and practical worktop areas. Plus, the breakfast bar is a bit swish too! We think the Pemberton Rivington offers good overall value.

Plus points: Comfortable lounge area, kitchen storage and large front patio doors.

Minus points: Master bedroom isn’t the biggest and the dressing table has little storage.

In a nutshell: The Pemberton Rivington has a lot going for it and when looking for a holiday caravan in this price bracket it’s definitely worth putting on your shortlist if the layout is to your liking.
