Among these are brise soleil dividers, composed of an outline abstract geometric design, on both sides of the dining area that sits between the entrance hall and the lounge. These set the tone of distinctive styling as you step inside.
The hallway and dining area lead directly into the kitchen, where an array of white cupboard doors catches the eye, together with the enormous range cooker.
In the centre is a marble rectangular island unit, with two comfortably upholstered chairs – and a surprise: a wine bottle cooler that is inset into the surface, with a neat matt brass ring around the top, and bright blue light around the rim.
Lighting is a feature throughout the Pathfinder Belvedere. In the kitchen, three cabinets with glass shelving have illumination within. Floor-level spotlights and two huge sphere lights over the breakfast bar, each composed of hexagons in dark brass shade, look delightful.
Marble work surfaces, white gloss tiles, copious quantities of storage, and a Belfast sink with a grooved drainer built into the marble surface, mix practicality with style perfectly.
The dining table is also marble, with chairs that are identical in style to those at the breakfast bar. The lighting that catches the eye here is a spectacular oval rim of light, suspended from which is a fringe of fine chains.
In the lounge, a recessed television area is above the fire. Six recessed shelves, each with inset lighting, provide plain – yet also stylish – detail for this wall.
An L-shaped sofa plus a two-seater, are laden with cushions, some in gold and black, some in a subtle shimmering pale gold. A cathedral-style roof is at one side of the lounge, adding a lofty aspect.
In the bedroom and bathroom area of the Belvedere, lighting is also a spectacular feature.
We first find our way to the bathroom, with floor tiles set in a herringbone pattern, a freestanding oval bath, and floor level lights that are designed to create a subtle effect after dark.
Gold is a strong theme here, with the towel warmer finished in gold, and also the freestanding tap – and the wall behind the bath has angled gold tiles set within the marble-effect tile design; stunning.
Two pendant lights are by the mirror over the basin, each composed of a traditional light-bulb shape on a gold holder, and suspended on black cable. The entire look is one of sophistication.
Opposite, the second bedroom also features pendant lights; this time spheres on chains.
In the main bedroom, more spherical pendant lights are by the bed, and a rim of light defines the edge of the huge, curved mirror that sits by the glass-topped, gold framed dressing table.
The en-suite shower room is enormous; almost the size of the bathroom, and with gold touches including the towel warmer, fittings, and the edges of the recessed shelf for shampoos in the shower.
Other notable points are the floor-to-ceiling window, floor-to-ceiling tiles, and carriage-style lamps on each side the circular mirror over the basin.
Lighting is even a feature of the walk-in dressing room, which has a chandelier composed of irregular twisted metal from which glass beads are suspended.

We love the triangular window above the main window in the kitchen, the vaulted ceiling in the central area, the brise soleil panels that border the dining area, the gold touches that emphasise this spectacular home’s sophisticated character, and the fabulous kitchen.
