With a name that means ‘beautiful view, the Prestige Bella Vista holiday lodge has a lot to live up to. Does it deliver or does it disappoint? We had some quality time in the Bella Vista holiday lodge to find out…
The side entrance of the Bella Vista lodge takes you to an alcove with a boot seat, four coat hooks and plenty of space to put footwear.
Straight ahead takes you to one of the Bella Vista’s outstanding features: a tall breakfast bar that defines the edge of the galley-style kitchen.
A peep over the top of the breakfast bar reveals a five-burner hob with a cast iron pan stand. Work surface is on one side of the huge hob with two large cabinets and three drawers are beneath. Opposite, in a tower configuration, are the microwave, oven grill and beneath, and a huge wine cooler.
A dishwasher is integrated into the cabinet run alongside and there are areas of surface on each side of the sink. So, lots of surface space and lots of storage.
The lounge is magnificent, with an enormous, recessed media zone; the largest of televisions would look perfect here, against the feature vertically aligned wood-slat wall. Beneath, three cabinets and two drawers finished in dark brown with chunky copper handles look stylish as well as ticking the box marked practicality.
Two armchairs and a sofa are arranged around a coffee table that hides away drawers on each side. By this time in our exploration, we had firmly got the idea that the Bella Vista holiday lodge excels on the topic of storage.
The dining suite is super-modern in style, with a metal table frame, wooden top, and four comfortable upholstered, grey leather chairs.
The Bella Vista lodge, with new décor for 2023, has been a component of the Prestige range for around five years, along the way always proving popular, and with its stunning front window design guaranteed to make sure you take full advantage of any ‘beautiful view’, through full-width and full-height windows and two sets of patio doors, above which triangular windows reach up the to the apex of the lodge.
Exploring the bedroom and bathroom areas, we discover the bathroom first. White vertically and horizontally aligned tiles form a lovely pattern around the bath (with over-bath shower).
Fawn panelling elsewhere also uses a combination of vertical and horizontal alignment to create style. An exceptionally large chrome towel warmer and a large mirror above an equally large washbasin are notable features.
Opposite is one of the Bella Vista’s many practical features: a small utility room complete with a washing machine and a cabinet.
Along the corridor is the spacious twin bedroom. Three circular mirrors are a design feature, together with luxurious grey velvet upholstered bedheads.

On, now, to the main bedroom, where the bedhead reaches nearly to the ceiling and is upholstered in fine velvety fabric that has subtle gold threads to define its horizontal lines. The cube stool at the dressing table is upholstered in the same attractive fabric.
Bedside cabinets have lovely basket-style drawers. A huge cylindrical bolster and a bed runner are in an abstract triangular design in shades of pale apricot and fawn.
On one side of the room, a door opens into a walk-in wardrobe with a large L-shaped hanging area, five shelves in a stack, plus a large shelf above both the hanging area and the shelf stack.
You might expect the en-suite shower room to be luxurious, given the high standard elsewhere in the Prestige Bella Vista lodge, and you won’t be disappointed. His and hers washbasins, a large towel warmer, a spacious shower with a recessed shelf for shampoos, plus a very large mirror, together are sure to wow you.
In a nutshell: A luxury lodge with ample storage space, a first-rate kitchen and a superbly large window arrangement that makes sure you can enjoy your view.
Plus points: A well-designed and well-equipped kitchen. A very large wine cooler! An excellent walk-in wardrobe
Minus point: Not everyone wants two washbasins in an en-suite
Verdict: Plenty of practicality, a kitchen that’s beautifully designed for convenience and equipped with all that you’d expect, plus one of the largest wine coolers we’ve ever seen – the Prestige Bella Vista has many strong points. Does it live up to its name? We think it does.
The view from the lounge through the entire wall of windows is sure to enable you to make the best of your location, and everywhere you look inside, the view is stunning, combining modern elements with plush looks to create cosiness.
