Chic sophistication sums up the style of Willerby’s New Holland lodge, introduced for 2024.
This is achieved by an amalgam of styles. Among these are the super-modern dark grey kitchen cabinetry, a cottage-style stove to give the lounge a cosy feel, natural wood panels above the fireplace to inject a suggestion of farmhouse styling, and the simple metal frame of the circular mirror above the fireplace that brings in an element of modern styling.

The television station is on a freestanding sideboard unit – very unusual – and is positioned at an angle to the room. It has two cabinets and two drawers with Shaker-style handles.
Kitchen
The kitchen is almost square, with a breakfast bar to separate it from the dining area. Two grey velvet-upholstered chairs ensure coffee-time comfort; someone can sit here and supervise culinary activities!
The surface area is huge, running around all four sides of the kitchen. The dark grey cabinets have Shaker-style handles, mixing traditional and modern styling. Four burners, each with a separate cast iron pan stand, sit on a black glass base.
There’s a wine cooler, a washing machine and a dishwasher. And two of the three cabinets open to reveal surprises. One contains a bin; the lid lifts as you open the cabinet door. The other disguised element of practicality is in a corner cabinet. Both shelves inside this cabinet are vaguely figure-of-eight shaped, and swivel outwards so that you can easily access every item stored here without having to reach deep into the corner of the cabinet.
Upper cabinets include three with glass panels; a nice styling touch. And we love the gigantic, double-doored fridge-freezer.
Dining area
The dining area has simple, modern styling. The table top is a natural wood-effect and the chairs are upholstered and shaped for comfort.
A dresser here mixes style with practicality in the form of two cabinets, four drawers and copious shelving backed by the dark grey that is the signature hue of the Willbery New Holland’s open-plan living space.
On the warm day of our review the front sliding door to the decking was open and so was the side door, creating a lovely flow of air. It was easy to imagine the Willerby New Holland lodge in populated holiday mode.
Entrance
By the side entrance is a walk-in cupboard containing four double coat hooks, four large shelves and plenty of space for all manner of necessities such as a vacuum cleaner. A tall radiator, finished in dark grey, is alongside this entrance area, adding style as well as warmth.
As you turn into the corridor leading to the bedroom area, a black-framed, nine-pane mirror comes into view, bringing in more modern styling, and from here, everything we explore further underlines the luxury appeal of the Wilerby New Holland.
Bedrooms
The second bedroom is spacious and has a large, walk-in wardrobe/dressing area containing six drawers, 10 shelf spaces and a wide hanging area. And that’s just the second bedroom.
The main bedroom has long windows on each side of the bed, a wide dressing table with a grey upholstered cylindrical stool, and more wardrobe space here than you find in total in many lodges. There are two double wardrobes (one contains a chest of three drawers), plus another wardrobe with mirrored doors, containing four shelves.
The en-suite has a corner shower and a tall chrome-finished towel warmer.
Opposite the main bedroom is the bathroom, with an over-bath shower, again with a towel warmer and plenty of space.
In a nutshell: Willerby’s new luxury lodge has outstanding style appeal, it’s stacked with excellent storage solutions and has a distinctly high-end vibe.
Plus points: The enormous quantity of clothes accommodation. The huge kitchen surface. The corner kitchen cabinet that contains two swivelling shelves

Verdict: The Willerby New Holland lodge has a superbly large kitchen, a breakfast bar vantage point overlooking the cooking zone, and a cleverly designed corner cabinet containing swivelling shelving. So, a fantastic kitchen that will truly be the hub of this holiday lodge, and a spacious lounge and dining area with many stylish and also practical elements.
We love the vast amount of storage space for clothes, the enormous fridge-freezer – and the general feeling of space everywhere.
