Omar’s new park home, the Breckland, takes its name from the beautiful region of Norfolk, close to the Suffolk border. It’s a region chiefly of farmland – and the Breckland park home translates that character into its interior and exterior design.
This is a stunningly different park home, with feature panels of brick and CanExel planking on a stucco background.
Inside the Omar Breckland park home, the farmhouse character is created not just by furnishings, but by specific features.
In the kitchen there’s a Welsh dresser – but with a modern twist. Bifold hinged doors open to reveal illuminated shelving, in natural wood. The doors are Shaker style, compete with cupped drawer handles and pewter round cabinet knobs. And the doors are finished in a delightfully subtle sage green – that’s the modern take on the traditional Shaker farmhouse theme.
At the other side of the (very spacious) kitchen, the cooking area is inset, giving it a farmhouse feel – and the extractor fan is almost disguised in the recess above the four-burner hob and oven directly beneath. The recess is tiled, in sage green tinged with light brown.
On the way across the kitchen you discover another farmhouse hallmark – a large Belfast sink, with five grooves in the marble kitchen surface to create a drainer. And the entire range of cabinets and drawers is finished in pale sage green. The worktop surface mimics marble and the overall effect is cottagey cosiness combined with elegant styling.
The kitchen is complete with an integrated fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
In the centre of the kitchen sits the natural wood farmhouse-style table, with four chairs that have upholstered, high backs, deeply buttoned to add to the luxury statement, in pale fawn.
While the Omar Breckland’s dining area and the kitchen are one, the lounge is totally separate. The farmhouse theme is represented here by a half-panelled wall, finished in pale sage green, and a cottage-style “log-burning” stove in a rustic brick finished alcove with a rustic-style mantel beam above it.
The two sofas are rather traditional in design, with slightly rolled armrests, and big, squashy backrests and legs composed of wood with brass feet. And the two sideboard units and coffee table all adhere to the natural wood farmhouse theme.
The Breckland’s entrance, opposite the kitchen, features a large full-height cabinet containing a multitude of shelves ideal for shoes.
Two of the three Omar Breckland park home layouts has a study; these are the 45ft x 20ft version and our review model, the 50ft x 20ft. The other option is the 40ft x 20ft.
The study has a Shaker-style cabinet and three drawers, all finished in the same sage green as the cabinets in the kitchen. The corner desk makes the best use of this space.
Omar’s description of the main bedroom is that it has a “grand country house feel”. That’s created by a wide window seat (with three large drawers beneath) and the sage green panelled headboard wall, with plushly upholstered headboard in brown.
The same velvety fabric upholsters the cylindrical stool that fits under the dressing table, which has Shaker-style handles to the three large drawers, as have the bedside cabinets.
And on each side of the bed are elegant, traditional farmhouse-cottage style pewter downlighters.
The corridor leading to the en-suite room has wardrobes on each side. And the shower keeps the Omar Breckland’s sage green theme going, with full-height tiling in that shade.
A full-height shelving unit is alongside the shower. And between here and the washbasin is a full-height chrome finished towel warmer.
Opposite the second bedroom is a stunning bathroom, with a freestanding bath complete with a traditional-style tap unit, placed centrally along its length – and tiling on one wall that introduces a leaf pattern.
As you’d expect, there’s a (chrome finished) towel warmer – and more Shaker style for the cabinet beneath the washbasin.
The Omar Breckland park home’s second bedroom follows the sage green wall panel theme, with circular pewter downlighter wall lights – identical to those in the main bedroom.
Bedside cabinets, a three-drawer cabinet and a dressing table, in a recess, with a cylindrical stool, plus a wardrobe, complete the furnishings of this room.

Verdict: The Omar Breckland park home makes a stunning style statement, of farmhouse cosiness with elegant features and a charming kitchen-dining room. (We love the dresser, in particular.) Comfort and luxury levels are supreme in the lounge; there’s a real feeling of grand country house character. Storage space is generous in all areas. And we love the luxurious freestanding bath.
