The ABI Beaumont might not be a brand new holiday lodge but it’s been given a makeover, replacing the greys of last year with wood-panelled accent walls and pastel colours.
A first look at the ABI Beaumont 43ft x 14ft lodge for 2024 is incredibly pleasing. The exterior has been redesigned and features a large striking picture window and sliding patio doors at the front.
It sits on top of a galvanised chassis and is clad in a “Chateaux” grey hard PVCu, creating a very smart appearance smartly.
The front lounge has two large domestic twin-seat sofas plus an upholstered foot stool/coffee table around a feature wall with an inset fireplace and TV point.
Two large side windows make this room light and airy while the wood effect furniture that replaces the grey used last year creates a warmer feel. Patterned Roman blinds hang in all the windows.
The kitchen area is practical and well thought out, with a small breakfast bar and two high-back chairs giving guests a good view of the cooking area.
The kitchen is at the heart of the ABI Beaumont and the perfect social area, looking onto the lounge area and by the side entrance door.
It’s well equipped for serving up some culinary delights with a five burner gas hob, including a wok burner, and oven, plus an integrated fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher as standard.
There’s a generous amount of worktop and storage too, and other stylish touches include a Composite sink with a black swan neck tap, and black glass splashback and a cooker hood.
The dining area sits behind the kitchen and features a wood-panelled feature wall, L-shaped fixed dinette seating, around a free-standing table and two upholstered chairs in a calming pastel green. There’s also a dresser-style unit which houses the microwave oven, more storage and cubby holes for wine bottles as well as lots of sockets for a coffee machine, kettle and toaster.
By the side entrance door of the ABI Beaumont, there’s a place for coats and a small bench seat for taking off muddy boots.
Opposite, is the main bathroom, which has a walk-in shower, loo and counter-top hand basin with shelves below.
The taps, shower head and towel radiator are black and contrast well with the wooden floor.
There’s a side window, shaver socket and extractor fan for ventilation, plus, a stylish round mirror.
The twin bedroom is spacious and has standard-sized single beds.
The pastel green colour scheme continues in the bedrooms and works well with the wood panelling to create a modern feature wall.
There is a good-sized wardrobe with drawers in the base and a small central chest of drawers between the beds with a glass pendant light above.
Into the double bedroom and the wood panelling theme is more evident and gives the new ABI Beaumont holiday lodge a trendy and relaxed vibe.
The double lift-up bed has side shelf cabinets, a large pastel green headboard, integral LED lighting above the bed and those classy glass hanging lights at each side.
There’s a large side window, plus a large wardrobe with four doors, twin mirrors and drawer storage beneath. There is s trendy styled fixed dresser top with two drawers plus an oval shaped mirror and dedicated lighting above.
The en-suite in the ABI comes with a domestic style bath with shower above and a glass shower screen.
It does feel a little narrow between the bath and the side wall but it packs a lot in with a countertop hand basin and loo fitted, plus a large double door cupboard and another stylish oval mirror.
It’s well designed using the compact dimensions to the full and fitting in some more of that wooden panelling behind the loo.
Verdict: Completely re-vamped for 2024 we think this new incarnation of the ABI Beaumont is greatly improved. It’s a spacious and stylish single lodge (ABI have added an extra 30 cm to its length) in an attractive package at below £94,000.
Plus points: Lovely interior, decent build quality, practical and spacious
Minus points: En suite is a tad tight on floor area
In a nutshell: The new look Beaumont is a big improvement. The layout change is a good move and the new colour scheme and wooden wall panelling adds to the class
