Delta Holiday Homes has been manufacturing static caravans since 1982, yet only in recent years has the brand become more recognisable to UK buyers.
Names such as Willerby, Swift, Carnaby and ABI dominate the holiday caravan and lodge market, but Delta is far from a newcomer. With more than 43 years in the industry, the company has built a strong export portfolio, supplying parks across Europe while also serving the UK market from its earliest days.
Based in Hull – a city celebrating 80 years as a hub of caravan manufacturing – Delta benefits from a highly skilled local workforce. Over the past few years, the manufacturer has increasingly focused on UK buyers, offering a broad range of static caravans and holiday lodges designed to deliver strong value for money.
With that in mind, we decided to take a closer look at one of Delta’s latest models: the 2026 Saffron Deluxe, a 36ft x 12ft, two-bedroom static caravan aimed primarily at first-time buyers who want a new model with a generous specification without pushing the budget too far.
Exterior and first impressions
According to Delta, the Saffron range has proven particularly popular, and at a price point below £40,000, it’s easy to see why.
Externally, the Saffron Deluxe comes well equipped. As standard, it features uPVC cladding, full guttering, double-glazed windows and a steel pantile-effect roof.
French doors open out from the front lounge, adding both light and practicality, while a traditional side entrance door completes the external layout.
Lounge area
Step inside the Delta Saffron Deluxe static caravan and the first thing you notice is the sense of space. The light grey furniture finish, combined with the large front French doors, helps to maximise natural light and gives the lounge a bright, airy feel.
Seating consists of a three-seater and a two-seater settee, arranged around a central coffee table. A fireplace unit with storage cupboards and an electric fire provides a focal point, while practical plug sockets and integrated LED ceiling lighting add to everyday usability.
Overall, the lounge feels comfortable and surprisingly upmarket for a caravan in this price bracket.
Kitchen and dining area
Next to the lounge is the dining area, furnished with a table and four high-backed chairs. Positioned opposite the kitchen, it creates an open-plan living space that works well for family use.
The kitchen offers a good amount of storage, with a mix of under-counter and overhead cupboards and a generous run of worktop space.
Specification is competitive for the price, with an integrated microwave included as standard, alongside a gas oven, gas hob and extractor hood. A 70/30 split fridge freezer is also fitted, while wall-mounted sockets are sensibly placed for everyday appliances.
The gas boiler for the central heating system is housed in a cupboard next to the fridge, making access easy for servicing and maintenance.
Bedrooms and bathroom
The Delta Saffron Deluxe has a single family bathroom, fitted with a shower cubicle with a mixer tap, a hand basin and a wall-mounted mirror. A large window provides excellent natural light and ventilation, although the lack of a storage cabinet for toiletries is noticeable.
Opposite the bathroom is the twin bedroom. Here, the two single beds are arranged parallel with a central shelving unit between them, complemented by overhead cupboards above each bed. There’s also a wardrobe, which, while not particularly large, should offer sufficient storage for children or occasional guests.
The light grey wood-effect finish feels modern and helps reflect light throughout the space. A nice design touch is the wooden pelmet above the window, which is also carried through into the main bedroom.
The master bedroom features a double bed with bedside cabinets, overhead cupboards and wall-mounted reading lights. It does feel a little plain, but that’s in keeping with the Saffron’s competitive pricing.
Storage includes a double wardrobe and a small dressing table with mirror, although the absence of a drawer and stool is worth noting.
Verdict: The Delta Saffron Deluxe static caravan offers a strong package for the money and provides something a little different from the mainstream manufacturers.
Standout features such as central heating and front French doors are particularly attractive at this price point, and the overall build quality feels solid and well executed.
We liked the modern, light décor and the well-designed kitchen, while the lounge feels more premium than expected. Although officially it sleeps four, the three-seater sofa can be converted into a double bed, offering extra flexibility.
Backed by a well-established manufacturer, the Saffron Deluxe represents excellent value and should help Delta continue to grow its presence in the UK market.
Plus points: Modern, bright interior, great value and solid build quality.
Minus points: No storage in the bathroom and dressing table lacks a drawer and stool.
In a nutshell: The Delta Saffron Deluxe is a great-value option for first-time buyers or those looking to upgrade to a new holiday caravan without overstretching their budget. A well-specified, practical and appealing model overall.
