The Regal Autograph static caravan has a fresh new interior colour scheme and a new kitchen configuration for 2013 which looks fantastic.
The model we saw was decorated for Christmas complete with presents under the Christmas tree in a perfect location in the corner of the living area in front of the three-quarter height windows, now draped with modern green curtains.
There’s room for guests on the four seat sofa and a modern accent tub chair upholstered in a striped fabric, as used for the scatter cushions on the sofa. Cool days and evenings could easily be spent watching movies on the optional television set in the attractive wall mounted dresser, whilst enjoying the seasonal ambience created by the flame effect electric fire. Can you smell the mince pies yet?
The dining area has four vinyl covered chairs set around the rectangular oak table, in front of a window and conveniently near the kitchen area so festive atmosphere can be enjoyed from there too.
And so to the kitchen, surely the hub of Christmas entertaining and there is plenty of room in the gas oven for the turkey and roasted veggies, for pans to simmer on the five burner gas hob, with the steam extracted by the trendy curved glass and stainless steel extractor fan. Plus for those Boxing Day leftovers there’s the eye-level optional microwave oven, perfect for warming up a little turkey gravy. You’ll need Santa’s elves to help with the washing up if you don’t chose to have the optional dishwasher. The integral fridge has the capacity for all the usual Christmas fare, and the integral freezer is well sized too.
Plenty of heating and hot water will be generated by the boiler, placed in a dedicated cupboard, and there’s room for guests’ coats too.
At the end of a tiring day, head for the master bedroom which has an upmarket looking padded headboard on the 5ft lift-up bed, which is set in a built-in unit with bedside tables, two large mirrors and down lighters. A good sized and well placed vanity unit has a convenient double power point and a TV aerial socket. But more than that, it has a very flexible and large walk-in wardrobe with generous storage space; plenty of room for your gladrags!
There is an en-suite with a pedestal basin and a dual flush toilet but there is also the option to add a shower, albeit at the expense of space in the walk-in wardrobe.
The second bedroom has metal framed twin beds with storage space underneath and this complements the space in the two wardrobes, plus there’s a small vanity unit with a TV point. The duvet cover and pillow cases, as in the main bedroom, are included in the purchase price.
The family shower room has a fully lined and practical one piece shower and a snazzy looking shower tower. The basin is mounted on a cupboard, and as before the toilet is dual flush, an important ecological aspect.
The exterior of the model we saw was Cedar but other options are available.
It’s a stylish, contemporary open plan unit, with more than a hint of luxury, well specified and built at an affordable price.
If you aren’t using your static caravan over the festive period (or any time in winter) then you need to drain down. Read our article here on draining down your static caravan.
