Victory Woodland Vue static caravan review

Exterior

The Woodland Vue static caravan is a single unit made by Hull based Victory Leisure Homes and it didn’t take us long to see the company’s trademark; an eye-catching feature wall of plum, cream and putty coloured wide horizontal stripes.

Lounge

The free-standing sofa is complemented by a large footstool which used together gives a chaise long-style sofa which converts to a guest bed for occasional use. The plum, gray, lavender and cream curtains are bold, stylish and the same fabric is used for the scatter cushions on the sofa. We like the two wall niches with glass shelves and the large feature mirror.

Kitchen from dining area

Base units in the kitchen are high gloss aubergine, very chic, complemented by high gloss white eye-level cupboards. Two of those are glazed and are above the sink unit; they may be too high for some people to reach, but they look good. We like the wide drawers under the four burner gas hob and the high level of equipment fitted as standard. The dining table is pear wood and has four faux leather chairs.

Dining area

The main bedroom has a metal framed bed with a plum coloured upholstered headboard and sits against a feature wall which coordinates with the short curtains. There is plenty of space around the bed and the fitted wardrobe has two large drawers under it and there is dressing table with a stool. The en-suite toilet and pedestal wash basin are ideal for night time use.

Double bedroom with ensuite

The two metal framed beds in the second bedroom are separated by freestanding bedside table which does allow for them to be pushed together. Each has a triangular shaped corner cupboard over it and the fitted wardrobe is a decent size for a guest room.

The shower room has a rectangular shower tray with a sliding door and a countertop basin above a white gloss cupboard. Further storage is available in a cupboard above the basin. The floor covering, like in the kitchen and en-suite is tile effect vinyl.

Verdict

Well specified and designed with a good use of the plum/lavender colour palate throughout creating a harmonious theme. We are disappointed that, given it’s the company’s top-of-the-range caravan holiday-home, central heating and double glazing are optional extras therefore condensation is likely to be a problem. It’s such a lovely unit that it could indeed be enjoyed during the shoulder seasons, thus extending your use of your purchase, if the specification was enhanced. The next model up is the Saffron leisure lodge, which has a much heftier price tag but does come with central heating and double glazing.

  1. It looks very nice, unlike the total rubbish Willerby”BK Bluebird”crap I bought.Complete with non existing afterservice, this looks really nice. Most other vans we have seen,is far more solid, and built to a far higher spec.than our Willerby crap,or shed, and we had the top of the range, what a joke.I wish a pox on them all.Be warned.

  2. Last year(2012) we bought a new Victory Woodland Vue. We have had one small problem with it which was seen to in no time at all with minimal fuss. The van is both warm in winter months and cool in the summer a real treat to be in. I am not an employee of Victory or have any connections with the firm. I hope you soon find a van that you are happy with and enjoy it.

  3. Bought a brand new woodland vue, regretted it every since, arrived with dents and scratch on kitchen work top ( we were told we were being “picky” over the scratch )informed Victory about dents for over 6 weeks but the agreed to look at problem after our decking had been fitted, then said they would need decking removed before the could sort it … What a joke,we had parts missing, very poor build quality , poor fitted kitchen unit doors, lumps under carpet , carpet had to be lifted to reveal a bit of off cut underlay , squeeky floor, rubbish customer services, very nice young girl on phone, but no actual customer care. we complained from week one, but ended up sorting most of the problems our selfs , every “U” bend in the van leaked, one one the loos leaked, doors don’t closed properly , I could go on but I’m sick of thinking about it.
what a shame as it’s basically a good van, paid £35k, once in lifetime perchace , total disappointment . Recommend you look else where ….. Sorry Votory … Once you had our money you couldn’t care less
