From the outside, the new-for-2021 Prestige Majestic is as striking as its name implies, with part-grey wood effect CanExel and part-bright white rendering and grey window frames. But most striking of all is the pitched roof over the lounge, which runs the whole length of this park home.
As you enter the Majestic park home, your eyes are drawn to the huge floor-to-ceiling cathedral-style window that showers the room in light, whatever the weather outside.
The lounge has a double-door entrance, adding to the feeling of spaciousness whilst still retaining a separate lounging area to the kitchen, something a lot of buyers are keen on. The lounge’s vast window configuration that lets in so much light also enables you to take advantage of any views.
The colour scheme is incredibly subtle, majoring on soft fawns teamed with oak coffee tables; the overall effect is a homely, cosy vibe.
Opposite the lounge is the galley kitchen and dining area. The dining table sits next to the (nearly) full-height window (which could also be a set of French windows if desired) and is adjacent to the kitchen.
Chrome fittings and fixtures marry perfectly with stunningly modern soft greys and the oak-effect work surface. These beautiful grey cupboard doors hide the dishwasher and fridge-freezer.
Next to the kitchen is the utility room; where you’ll find your washing machine and copious quantities of storage.
To say the Prestige Majestic’s kitchen would be a haven for any culinary aficionado is an understatement; there really is enough space in here to run a semi-professional kitchen, or just to whip up some eggs on a Saturday morning.
Opposite the entrance to the lounge is the small study. Whilst not big enough to be a hobby room, it certainly is large enough to be an office. In fact, it’s in that office that I find myself writing this review! The plushly upholstered and studded chair is ultra-comfortable and is entirely in-keeping with the Prestige Majestic’s luxury feel.
Moving into the bedroom area, the master bedroom is on your left, the second bedroom directly ahead and the bathroom next to the two.
The master bedroom has the feeling of a huge open space, thanks to a full wall of mirrors. These hide two enormous wardrobes and shelving areas.
It really does make this room feel and look vast, whilst keeping all the storage hidden from view. Windows on each side of the bed make sure it’s light and bright. A slim desk-style dressing table, plus two bedside cabinets, take care of your storage needs.
The en-suite has a large shower with extractor fan; it is tiled in a dark stone-effect design which contrasts perfectly with the sink cabinet, finished in gloss white.
The fawn, mushroom and cream colour scheme of both bedrooms is a delight. A touch of tradition appears in the pattern of the Roman-style blinds, bed sash and two of the cushions in the main bedroom. In the second bedroom, the curtains, cushions and bed sash are in a light-reflecting geometric patterned fabric.
The bathroom in the Prestige Majestic features the same dark stone tiling found in the en-suite, also has an extractor fan and, like its cousin, has a tall towel radiator. There’s an over-bath shower and a screen.
Verdict: A charming park home with the benefit of both a utility room and a study. The Prestige Majestic is as dignified in styling as its name would suggest, with magnificent cathedral-style windows and a super-large kitchen that is as stylish as it is practical. Add in the split-level roofline that makes the Majestic look so striking, and the overall impression has to be that this is an outstanding home.
Plus points: The split-level roof line, the huge galley kitchen, the vaulted ceiling in the lounge, basically all of this home.
Minus points: The dining table is a little small for entertaining.
In a nutshell: Everything about the Prestige Majestic is regal, from the high vaulted ceiling of the lounge, to the stunning galley kitchen and stone effect surround in the bathroom. This park home feels opulent and stylish – yet very much a home.
