2023 Love Holiday Homes Hazelwood static caravan

With nearly 12 months under their belt, Love Holiday Homes has taken off and are proving popular!

The last few years has taken the UK holiday caravan market by storm, with high demand as lots of holidaymakers have chosen to stay in the UK.

With this extra demand and material shortages there have been many challenges in the holiday caravan market, even for established manufacturers. So any new kid on the block has faced a major hurdle. Love Holiday Homes was set up in the summer of 2021 at Marfleet Lane in Hull – a place where over the years there have been several caravan manufacturers and recently home to Sunseeker and Willerby.

The Love Holiday Homes Hazelwood is its main seller and offers a solid unit for the money, with a painted chassis it comes with an exterior finish that is plastic and imported for the company.

Full guttering and patio doors are fitted as standard but the extra windows are an option. The moment you step into the Love Holiday Homes Hazelwood you get a feel of real quality. Love want to add extra thickness to wood finishes above some of the competition to add to their solid build quality.

The front lounge area has two substantial twin-seater sofas in a neutral grey colour and there’s still a good area of floor space. A small TV cabinet is in the corner with an electric fire and fireplace in the centre to help take the chill off without putting on the central heating system.

A side dresser offers cupboard and shelf storage and lighting is integrally placed in the ceiling. There’s also a free-standing coffee table which is also a solid piece of furniture in its own right.

A dining table with four wooden chairs is in the kitchen in a lovely cream colour to match the cupboard doors.

The Love Holiday Homes Hazelwood kitchen has a large gas hob with anoven and extractor hood above. Plus there’s a fridge and separate freezer and microwave oven included and there’s ample worktop and cupboard storage. Although the kitchen area isn’t very large it’s big enough for most and we think many people will find the neutral tone of the décor appealing.

A small corridor takes you to the main bedroom, twin bedroom and bathroom.

Firstly, the twin bedroom is a room that two adults could use, it’s spacious and the beds are a good size. There’s plenty of storage too with overbed cupboards as well as a wardrobe which will be ideal for two even on a long break. There’s also a useful shelf with a mirror above it and well-placed plug sockets.

From here you can go into the main bathroom, with a shower. It’s here that all users will have to use this shower as there isn’t one in the en-suite to the master bedroom.

The bathroom doesn’t have much cupboard storage either but there are plenty of shelves and a mirror for getting ready. The shower cubicle has sliding doors and there’s enough floor space to get dried off in.

The neutral tones continue into the master bedroom with its king-sized bed with storage below. There’s a walk-in wardrobe at the back of the bedroom which is also fitted out with practical shelving and there are more shelves and cupboards above the bed.

The bedhead is fitted into a wooden panel which also includes handy bedside storage units for books, glasses and the like.

A dresser with a large mirror caters for getting ready for the day.

The en-suite is compact with just a loo, hand basin atop a cupboard and heated towel rail.

Verdict:  As a new manufacturer, Love Holiday Homes is worth looking at, particularly as the man behind it has years of experience and knowledge of what buyers are looking for in a holiday caravan or lodge.

We liked the unfussy furniture design in the Love Holiday Homes Hazelwood and colours that are subtle, yet contemporary.

Plus points: Large spacious lounge, solid build quality, modern interior

Minus points: No shower in the en-suite and some might find the kitchen worktop short

In a nutshell: Love Holiday Homes offers a new breed of holiday caravans and lodges that are well screwed together in a world of mass production.
