Swift’s Toronto holiday lodge has been given a new look and two interior choices, Urban and Country Style
Swift has been in the twin lodge market for some years now, and they’ve made a few waves in this sector. After all the company has been making holiday homes for 20 years and caravans for 60!
For 2024 the Swift Toronto holiday lodge has two interior choices available: Urban – a modern contemporary finish; or Country Style – a traditional cosy finish with a pastel colour scheme.
We reviewed the 43ft x 20ft two-bedroomed Toronto Country lodge with a spec which includes BS3632 residential specification.
It’s a rather attractive looking lodge which comes on a fully galvanised chassis, warrantied for 10 years, with a CanExcel wood grain finish exterior. Front patio doors and UPVC double-glazed windows with locks add to the pleasing exterior look.
The Swift Toronto Country’s interior boasts a large lounge with a luxurious brown faux leather free-standing settee, two contrasting light-coloured armchairs and a fireplace with mock log burner electric fire.
This is surrounded by black open shelving and there’s space above for a TV and more illuminated shelving.
Floor-to-ceiling windows and those large patio doors add natural light while LED integral ceiling lights offer good night illumination too.
In the opposite corner is the dining area, which has a wooden feature wall and an L-shaped wrap-around sofa in grey with three upholstered bucket chairs, making it a very sociable area at mealtimes. Behind is a breakfast bar which faces into the stylish and spacious U-shaped kitchen.
There’s masses of worktop and cupboard storage here too. Green pastel coloured shaker style doors with brass handles and light fittings give it the classic country feel. An integrated microwave is standard and sits above an electric oven/grill, while the five-burner gas hob is to the side and integrated into the wood-grained worktops.
An extractor hood and Velux ceiling window allow good ventilation and other appliances include a large fridge/freezer plus a dishwasher and wine cooler too.
By the Toronto Country lodge’s side entrance door, there’s a large cupboard, seating and panelled backboard with coat hooks, plus a washer/dryer and boiler hidden away.
The family bathroom has a domestic-sized bath with a stand-in shower. There’s plenty of floor area for changing and above the square-shaped loo there’s a tall cupboard surrounded by open shelving.
A square-shaped hand basin sits on top of a marbled cupboard, finished in the same pastel green as the kitchen, with wicker baskets for toiletries.
The Toronto’s twin bedroom has adult-sized beds and great wardrobe storage too. We liked the mirror which flips up from the dressing table to hide away cosmetics, toiletries and other nik naks for getting ready.
There are several mains sockets in this room as well as USB points and wooden panelling and pastel green continues.
The master bedroom comes with a king-sized bed complete with a sumptuous headboard, lift-up storage and a Duvalay™ Alba-Ortho mattress.
His and hers wardrobes with drawers are fitted and a space for mounting a TV is placed opposite the bed. There’s a rather large dressing table complete with stool, cupboards and shelving plus a light-up vanity mirror – which we think could have been bigger.
From the double bedroom, you can walk into the en-suite bathroom, which not only has a loo and hand basin but also a walk-in shower. Again, it’s well-appointed, although for storage there are only two drawers and a shelf. But a large window with blinds allows for ventilation and natural light to flood in too.
Verdict: The re-vamped Swift Toronto – now in two interior finishes – is a very nice holiday lodge, taking this model to a new level. Always a top-selling lodge for Swift, this new version will enforce the appeal of this twin unit.
The dining area is well-designed and spacious and the kitchen offers excellent storage and a worktop with plenty of features as standard, such as the built-in dishwasher. The only problem you might have is which interior scheme to go for!
Plus points: Build quality, super lounge area, interior décor, spacious master bedroom
Minus points: Not much storage in the en-suite bathroom; a slightly larger mirror would be good in the master bedroom
In a nutshell: Swift’s Toronto just got better and will remain a top choice for many wanting a holiday lodge that is a quality-built unit. Spacious and well-appointed this is a Swift that’s got plenty of style and substance.
