Lounge and dining area
Step inside and you’ll find the familiar contemporary styling that runs throughout ABI’s range. A tasteful mix of soft greys, pastel tones and warm wood-effect furniture creates a bright, welcoming space.
The lounge features two freestanding sofas, including a three-seater that converts into a sofa bed and a separate two-seater.
While there’s no traditional fireplace, ABI has included an attractive electric log-effect stove mounted on a matching black plinth, adding character and warmth to the room.
A coffee table and TV unit provide useful storage, although an extra storage cupboard would have been welcome. A large feature mirror above the heater helps enhance the sense of space.
Next to the lounge, the dining area has a subtle retro-inspired feel thanks to its padded dining chairs and stylish table. A large side window floods the area with natural light, while a pendant light fitting provides a focal point after dark.
Kitchen
Positioned opposite the dining area, the kitchen offers generous worktop space and plenty of storage. Grey cabinet doors complement the overall interior design and give the space a sleek, contemporary finish.
Cooking facilities include a four-burner gas hob with integrated extractor, oven and separate integrated fridge-freezer. A microwave is available as an optional extra.
We particularly liked the long stretch of workspace, practical placement of power sockets and the blend of pendant and LED ceiling lighting.
Bedrooms and bathroom
The ABI St David continues to impress as you move into the sleeping accommodation.
The twin bedroom features two single beds positioned beneath a large window. A central cupboard with shelf storage sits between the beds, while additional storage is provided by a wardrobe, wall shelf and mirror.
Adult occupants may find floor space a little restricted, but it’s perfectly adequate for children or occasional guests.
Located off the hallway, the main bathroom includes a shower, loo and a deep hand basin.
Storage is well catered for with a large cupboard beneath the basin and a mirrored wall cabinet. The modern décor mirrors the rest of the holiday home and provides a practical, easy-to-maintain space.
The master bedroom is particularly well designed. A large bed with lift-up storage, padded headboard and bedside cupboards creates a comfortable retreat. Combined with ABI’s attractive wood-effect furniture and soft grey finishes, the room feels bright, spacious and relaxing.
Storage comes courtesy of a built-in wardrobe with drawers below, while a corner dressing table, complete with stool, large mirror and side window, adds a touch of luxury. A TV point and conveniently positioned mains sockets complete the specification.
The en-suite shower room is a good size and continues the same modern styling found in the main bathroom.
Verdict: ABI produces some of the most stylish holiday homes on the market, and the St David continues that tradition. Offering an attractive interior, practical layout and strong overall build quality, it delivers excellent value for money at its price point.
