Love continues to make strong progress in the holiday lodge market, expanding its growing range with the introduction of the new Hamlet model.
The Hull-based manufacturer has already made waves with its holiday caravans and lodges, thanks to solid build quality and a reliable production setup, recently strengthened further with the addition of a second factory unit.
With an experienced team behind the brand, we took a closer look at one of their latest designs, the Love Homes Hamlet.
The Hamlet delivers a modern, up-to-date exterior with a distinctive profile. A small front bay window adds character, while PVC-EU foam cladding and steel pantile roof tiles provide a durable and contemporary finish.
Full guttering comes as standard and sliding patio doors at the front help bring the outside in, perfect for making the most of your holiday park pitch.
The painted chassis can be upgraded to a galvanised version when built to BS3632 residential specification.
Lounge and living space
The lounge centres around an L-shaped settee with matching footstool. While the styling has a slightly retro feel, it’s comfortable, practical and adds a touch of character.
An electric fire is paired with a wall-mounted radiator, while the fireplace surround incorporates TV space and useful storage cupboards.
There’s no shortage of plug sockets, and integrated LED ceiling lighting makes sure the space feels bright and well-lit in the evenings.
Dining and kitchen
The four-person dinette sits near the side entrance, complete with a stylish pendant light above the table. A large side window floods the area with natural light, creating a bright and welcoming space for meals.
Opposite, the kitchen offers generous worktop space and plenty of cupboard storage.
The pastel-coloured cupboard doors bring a soft, contemporary finish, and it’s well-equipped as standard. Features include a fridge/freezer (though on the smaller side), a gas hob and electric oven, a dishwasher and microwave.
There’s also ample task lighting and black sockets, some with integrated USB ports, adding a practical modern touch.
Bathroom
The main bathroom is well-sized and thoughtfully designed, featuring a shower with a sliding door, a loo, and a countertop basin with storage beneath.
The pastel colour scheme continues through from the kitchen, maintaining a cohesive look.
Shelving and a mirrored wall cabinet provide useful storage, and there’s enough space for comfortable changing.
Bedrooms
The Hamlet’s twin bedroom includes two full-sized single beds with padded headboards and a central bedside cupboard.
There’s excellent floor space and good overhead storage, although the wardrobe is quite small, limiting hanging space.
The master bedroom makes excellent use of space and includes an en-suite, complete with a bath!
A standard-sized double bed with a luxury finished padded headboard takes centre stage, complemented by bedside cabinets, overhead storage, and wardrobes either side of the bed.
Other features include integrated LED reading lights and a dressing table with a mirror and stool. While the dressing table is a practical inclusion, tucked neatly in a corner, the stool feels slightly lower quality compared to the rest of the lodge.
The en-suite also includes a toilet and hand basin with storage beneath, providing added convenience.
Verdict: The Love Hamlet is another solid offering from a manufacturer clearly gaining momentum in the lodge sector. It combines a practical layout with modern styling and can be upgraded to residential specification for year-round use—adding further appeal. Standout features include the spacious lounge, comfortable seating, and well-designed kitchen with generous worktop space. Overall, the lodge feels robust and well-built throughout. Only minor drawbacks are the small fridge and less impressive dressing stool, preventing it from being a near-perfect package.
Plus points: Solid build, lounge settee, modern décor, practical with style.
Minus points: Small fridge, dresser table stool quality
In a nutshell: The Hamlet generated plenty of interest at both the Hull and Haydock trade shows, and it’s easy to see why. With its strong build, appealing design and practical layout, this is a lodge that ticks a lot of boxes for today’s holiday home owner.
