Following a management buyout just a few years ago, Sunseeker has expanded its range significantly. One of its latest launches for 2026 is the new Sensation twin-unit lodge. But does it live up to its name?
Just a few years ago (2021), Prestige the successful lodge and park home maker, took on the holiday caravan market, bringing a name back from the past that was once so popular on parks. In fact, the Sunseeker name can still be spotted on some older parks, and also in the very early 1980’s the Sunseeker brand made touring caravans called Concerto.
The company later became part of Victory Leisure Homes, leaving the future of the Hull-based Sunseeker operation uncertain. A management buyout secured the brand’s future and Sunseeker has gone from strength to strength.
Today, the manufacturer offers an expanded range of static caravans, lodges and park homes, building a reputation for stylish design and solid construction. We were keen to take a closer look at one of its newest additions for 2026, the Sensation.
Part of a seven-model lodge portfolio, the Sensation is available in a range of layouts and sizes. Our review model was the spacious 40ft x 20ft two-bedroom version, built to BS 3632 residential specification.
From the outset, the Sensation makes a strong impression. The split roof design gives it a distinctive appearance, while the CanExel cladding, anthracite window frames and full guttering create a smart, contemporary exterior.
Bright and spacious living area
Entering through the front patio doors, you’re welcomed into a bright and comfortable lounge, complete with a two-seater sofa, two armchairs, a coffee table and a stylish fireplace featuring an electric fire.
The interior colour palette combines soft grey furnishings with darker curtains and modern pendant lighting, creating a cosy yet contemporary atmosphere.
The open-plan layout flows naturally into the dining area, where six fully upholstered dining chairs surround a generous table. Thanks to twin front windows and an additional side window, natural light floods into the living space, making it feel particularly spacious and inviting.
Well-designed kitchen with utility room
The kitchen is one of the Sunseeker Sensation’s standout features. Its open-plan design includes a breakfast bar that provides both additional workspace and handy storage.
Appliances include an integrated oven and grill, microwave, fridge freezer and gas hob.
Worktop space is generous and we were particularly impressed by the amount of storage available, including numerous wall cupboards and shelving around the sink area.
Finished in a warm pastel-brown tone, the kitchen strikes a good balance between practicality and style.
Just beyond the side entrance door is a useful utility room featuring a sink, washing machine, extra storage and a small seating area. It’s a practical addition for longer stays.
Family bathroom and twin bedroom
The main bathroom includes a walk-in shower with sliding doors, WC, washbasin, and a mirrored wall cabinet. While it isn’t quite as spacious as the en-suite, it remains practical and well equipped.
One criticism would be the relatively shallow wash basin, which some owners might find less convenient for everyday use.
Opposite, the twin bedroom offers two adult-sized single beds separated by a central bedside cabinet.
A large window provides plenty of natural light, while a double wardrobe with drawers below offers useful storage space.
A dressing table with padded stool and large mirror adds another practical touch.
Impressive master bedroom
The master bedroom feels particularly spacious and welcoming. Twin bedside cabinets, overhead storage and integrated LED lighting create a luxurious feel.
There’s also a small shelf and illuminated mirror which acts as a compact dressing table area.
Storage is excellent, with a large wardrobe incorporating four drawers beneath, all finished in the same attractive wood-grain styling used throughout both bedrooms.
The en-suite bathroom mirrors the main washroom’s specification but benefits from a larger floor area and extra shelving, making it feel noticeably more spacious.
Verdict: The new Sensation range is an impressive addition to the Sunseeker line-up, and we expect the 40ft x 20ft two-bedroom model to prove particularly popular. Although classed as a holiday lodge, it feels closer to a residential park home thanks to its BS 3632 specification, generous proportions and homely design. The spacious lounge, practical kitchen and excellent storage throughout make it well suited to extended stays or year-round use. Importantly, Sunseeker has blended contemporary styling with traditional design cues, creating a lodge that feels modern without risking dating quickly.
Plus points: Built to BS 3632 residential standard. Spacious, bright lounge with plenty of natural light. Practical kitchen with generous worktop space and excellent storage. Useful separate utility room. Strong overall build quality
Minus points: No overhead shelf or cupboard storage above the twin beds. Wash basin depths in the bathrooms feel a little shallow. Main bathroom is smaller than the en-suite
In a nutshell: A spacious and practical twin-unit lodge from an increasingly established manufacturer. The Sunseeker Sensation combines residential-specification comfort, plenty of natural light and thoughtful design to create a stylish lodge that’s built for long-term enjoyment.
