The Symphony is a brand new static caravan made by Dorset company Regal Holiday Homes.
We liked the 9ft ceiling height and the outlook doors and full height windows at the front, combined with the extra light flooding into the interior thanks to two carefully placed skylight windows in the dining/kitchen area, it seemed incredibly spacious. The bold colour scheme of the soft furnishings was not therefore overpowering.

It is some time since we reviewed an ABI static caravan so it’s appropriate that for this review we have chosen the company’s top of the range Westwood caravan which has undergone a complete revamp for 2011. It is a 42ft x 13ft single unit caravan built on a fully galvanised heavy duty chassis and has uPVC cladding as standard with oak grained timber cladding as an option. French patio doors in the end wall of the lounge and uPVC double glazing are also included as standard.

Anyone looking for a top quality static caravan will have to go a long way to find one better than the Carnaby Essence. It is a single 40ft x 13ft two bedroom home. Its ex works price is way above the majority of similar size holiday homes, but having said that, it does come virtually complete – even down to duvets and pillowcases.

The Burgundy is the Swift group’s entry level holiday home. It is a 32ft x 12ft single unit two bedroom home, with woodgrain textured aluminium cladding built on the company’s Zinphos painted chassis which carries a three year warranty. A galvanised chassis with a 10 year warranty is one of the home’s optional extras together with double glazing and gas central heating.

Externally, there is nothing about the Bordeaux which is radically different to many other single unit holiday homes. The standard model has a painted chassis, a steel pantile roof, and woodgrain textured sandstone aluminium cladding. In the end wall of the lounge are three windows, the centre one being profiled to follow the lines of the vaulted roof. French doors are the option here.
