Would you consider jointly owning a holiday caravan?

POLL NOW CLOSED – Thanks to everyone who voted

Some people say holidays with friends or family are the best. Not only can you share your adventures but you’ll be able to talk about them for years to come.

Holidays can also be cheaper if you can spread the cost with more people, as well as holiday park site fees, running costs and paying for your static caravan or holiday lodge.

In this month’s community poll, we’d like to know if you would consider jointly owning a holiday caravan or lodge with friends or family. Or maybe you already have joint ownership?

Simply choose from the options below and as always, we’d love to hear your thoughts about joint holiday caravan ownership in the comments box below.

  1. We bought our static caravan during lock down, savings were earning nothing, we were not allowed to travel, so we found one 30 mins from where we live, views over the sea, fantastic sunsets plus the knowledge we do not have to scour the Internet for bargain holidays or cottages, or towing a caravan and so on. It has been brilliant,

  2. Sharing a purchase presents some ongoing compromise, but the principal benefits are that:
    a) purchase cost & annual site fees are shared
    b) caravan usage is maximised
    c) I don’t need to undertake any maintenance alone! (though our site staff are pretty damn good anyway).

Plus, we have a brilliant location, no issues regarding airport or travel strikes, we can go on a whim …. etc etc. Quite a good idea & a lucky find.
