The weather may have been dreary with rain and strong winds and the economic outlook poor but every company we spoke to at the Caravan Extravaganza show in Cottingham, and the show at the adjacent golf club was very upbeat about the future whilst accepting that for the next 12 months at least, things are going to be pretty tough.
Prestige Park & Leisure Homes launched its latest twin unit holiday lodge at this month’s Caravan Extravaganza in Cottingham. Called the Matrix Deluxe it is has two double bedrooms and one single and has been built to residential standard BS3632.
For the 2012 season Willerby Holiday Homes has introduced a new Rio Gold two bedroom static caravan which has been modified for disabled owners. Externally the Rio is very similar to other caravans in the company’s range, the most obvious difference being the entrance which has been widened for wheelchairs.
The ABI Kentmere static caravan was first introduced to the public in 2010 and the model we saw was a prototype; a few design tweaks made to it since then as a result of feedback from several sources have improved it. Read the full review…
The Aspen Scenic is a new static caravan introduced by Willerby Holiday Homes for the 2011 season. Two versions are available, both 38ft x 12ft, one having two bedrooms and en suite and the other three bedrooms with a separate shower and toilet compartment. It is the three bedroom model which we review here.
New from Victory Leisure Homes is a three bedroom Versailles holiday lodge. Using the same footprint as the two-bedroom version introduced last year, it has the advantage of an extra bedroom, but loses the utility room seen in the two bedroom model, but gains an entrance hall.
Although designated a three bedroom static caravan, the ABI Ambleside can in fact, sleep eight due to a sofa bed being included as part of the lounge furniture. Introduced into the company’s range in 2011, and built to EN 1647 standard, the caravan has a pre-galvanised steel chassis, aluminium cladding and a pantile roof. Additionally, full central heating, and uPVC double glazing make this static caravan suitable for all year round holidays.
The two bedroom Carnaby Rosedale is a static caravan anyone can be proud of. Why? Because it offers superb value for money as well as having with just about every appliance which the owner would otherwise have to buy separately.
